Can you set up restrooms for a backyard, farm or ranch wedding?
Yes. Homes, farms and ranches often have no building restrooms for guests, so we bring them. A standard unit fits through a gate at least 48 inches wide, and our driver can roll it about 15 feet from the truck. Trailers need room for a truck and trailer.
Private land gives you freedom, but it means you bring everything.
We reviewed 185 recorded calls from people renting porta potties in 2026 (172 reached a live conversation). Weddings were 5% of those calls (8 of 172). Wedding calls are few but detailed. Couples want to know which unit looks nice enough and how to keep it out of the photos.
Before you book, walk the site. Note the gate width, the ground and where a truck can park. Soft, sloped or muddy ground is a problem for every unit type.
Standard, deluxe, VIP cabin or restroom trailer: which fits your wedding?
A standard unit needs no power or water and fits a 4-foot space. A deluxe unit adds a flush and a sink with no hookups. A VIP cabin adds a porcelain toilet and vanity. A restroom trailer needs a standard 110V/20A outlet or a generator, a hose hookup or onboard tank, and truck access.
| Unit | What guests get | Power | Water | Space and access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard unit (PolyJohn PJN3) | Seat, urinal, mirror, hand sanitizer | None | None | 43.5 in wide x 47 in deep; 48-in gate |
| Deluxe flushing unit with sink (PolyJohn Fleet) | Foot-pump flush, sink, about 400 sink uses | None | None; 20-gal onboard sink tank | 47 in wide x 48 in deep |
| VIP single-stall cabin | Porcelain flushing toilet, vanity sink, mirror, light | Ask on your quote | Ask on your quote | Level ground; exact size on quote |
| Restroom trailer (2- or 3-stall) | Porcelain toilets, running water, lights, climate control | 110V/20A outlet or generator | Hose hookup or onboard fresh tank | Level ground; room for truck and trailer |
Couples often ask for "the one with a sink" and "the nicer trailer option." Those match the deluxe unit and the restroom trailer. Many couples mix them: a trailer near the reception and standard units near the parking area.

Call (972) 812-6200Get quoteHow many restrooms does a 150-guest wedding need?
7 units and 2 hand wash stations, if it runs 6 hours with a bar. The math: 150 ÷ 50 = 3, plus 2 for running past 4 hours, plus 2 for alcohol. Make at least 1 of the 7 a wheelchair-accessible unit for older guests or guests in wheelchairs.
- Base: 150 guests ÷ 50 = 3 units.
- Over 4 hours: 150 ÷ 100 = 1.5, round up to 2. Running total 5.
- Bar: 150 ÷ 100 = 1.5, round up to 2. Running total 7.
- Accessible: make at least 1 of the 7 a wheelchair-accessible unit.
- Hand wash: 7 ÷ 4 = 1.75, round up to 2 two-station sinks.
Want sinks inside the units instead? Deluxe units carry their own sink, so you skip the separate stations. Plan about 50 guests per deluxe unit, so pair deluxe units with standard units at a big wedding. Check your own guest count with the sizing calculator.
Can the restrooms stay for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding?
Yes. For a Friday rehearsal and Saturday wedding at the same site, we deliver Thursday or early Friday and pick up Monday. Those 4 days cost the same as a 1-day event rental. Units arrive stocked for both days, and you can add 1 service visit between the rehearsal and the wedding.
Plan the count for the bigger day, usually the wedding. The rehearsal crowd is smaller, so a fresh, stocked unit carries both events for most families.
- Add a service visit on Saturday morning if the rehearsal is large or has a bar.
- Lock the units between events with our free hasp and padlock.
- Book weekend weddings by Wednesday, and earlier for spring and fall dates.
Where should we put wedding restrooms?
Place restrooms a short walk from the reception, behind a screen, hedge or barn wall, and out of the ceremony sight line. Keep them downwind of dinner tables. Use level, firm ground. Our driver needs to park within about 15 feet of a standard unit and needs a 48-inch gate.
A rented lattice screen, a row of potted plants or the side of a building hides units in every wide shot.
- Leave a clear, flat path for guests in dress shoes and heels.
- Turn doors away from the dance floor and dinner tables.
- Mark the spot with a cone, flag or ribbon. You do not need to be home for delivery.
- Ask your HOA about placement rules if the wedding is at a home in a subdivision.
Will guests be able to see the restrooms after dark?
Standard and deluxe units have a translucent roof but no inside light, so they go dark after sunset, around 8:30 PM in a Plano June. VIP cabins and restroom trailers have lights inside. For any evening wedding, add string lights, lanterns or path lights from the reception to the restrooms.
Most receptions run past sunset in Texas summers and almost all run past it in fall. Hang lights before the guests arrive, and test them at dusk the night before.
Battery lanterns inside a standard unit help too. Keep open flames away from every unit.
What does a restroom trailer need at a wedding venue?
A standard 110V/20A outlet or a generator (tell us if you supply one or want one quoted), plus a hose hookup or an onboard fresh tank. It also needs level ground and room for a truck and trailer to back in. In our study, 8% of callers (14 of 172) asked about restroom trailers.

Check the outlet before booking. A trailer works best on a 20-amp circuit with nothing else running on it. A long extension cord across a lawn can trip the breaker when the climate control kicks on.
Walk the path the truck will take. Low branches, soft lawn and tight turns all matter. See full trailer details on our restroom trailer guide.
When do wedding restrooms arrive, and do you have pink or white units?
Wedding units arrive 1 or more days before the event, never during it. The driver calls 30 to 60 minutes ahead. We carry pink units for parties and showers, and our VIP cabins are white. Ask for color on the phone so we confirm it on your quote.

Drivers cannot promise an exact arrival time, so we build in a full day of room. That way a late truck never meets your caterer at the gate.
Cancel or reschedule free until 7 PM the business day before delivery. After that, a trip fee may apply. Same-day orders cancel free until the truck is dispatched. That helps if a storm moves your date.
