Is a short porta potty rental priced per day or for the whole time?

One flat rate for the whole rental, not a daily meter. You pay once per drop-off and pickup, whether the unit stays 1 day, a weekend or 1 week. A weekend unit that sits Friday through Monday costs the same as one that sits Saturday only.

"Is it per day or for the whole time?" is one of the questions we hear most. We reviewed 185 recorded calls from people renting porta potties in 2026 (172 reached a live conversation). 64% of callers (110 of 172) asked the price before anything else. So here is the plain answer.

Why does my weekend porta potty come Friday and leave Monday?

We drop weekend porta potties on Friday, sometimes Thursday, and pick them up Monday. That gives you 3 to 4 days for the price of 1 event rental. Drivers cannot promise an exact arrival time, so we never risk showing up mid-party. Book weekend dates by Wednesday for the Friday route.

Weekend dates are our busiest. Friday and Monday routes are how we fit them all in. The driver calls 30 to 60 minutes before arriving on both days.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. You do not need to be home for porta potty delivery or pickup. Mark the spot with a cone, flag or ribbon, leave the gate open or give us the code, and the driver sets the unit. The driver can roll a standard unit about 15 feet from the truck on a dolly.

• Pick level, firm ground: grass, gravel, concrete or packed dirt.
• A backyard gate needs 48 inches of clear width. A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide.
• No wide gate? We set the unit in the driveway or side yard.
• Keep pets inside while the driver works.

Ask for the free hasp and padlock if you want the unit locked before or after the party.

What kinds of home parties rent a porta potty?

Backyard gatherings were the largest group in our 2026 call study: 33% of callers (56 of 172). Birthday parties, baby showers, graduation parties and family reunions top the list. Under our sizing method, a party of 50 or fewer guests lasting up to 4 hours needs 1 standard unit.

Standard or deluxe for a party of 25 to 75 guests?

Use our sizing method: 1 standard unit per 50 guests for up to 4 hours, then add 1 unit per 100 guests if the party runs longer and 1 more per 100 guests if you serve alcohol. Plan about 50 guests per deluxe unit, and pair it with standard units for bigger groups.

What if my toilet breaks right before the party?

Call (972) 812-6200 as early in the day as you can. Same-day delivery is possible Mon–Sat when a truck and unit are free. We confirm it on the phone before you pay. A rush charge may apply, and it shows on your itemized quote first, with nothing added later.

What about HOA rules and canceling?

Many Plano-area subdivisions have HOA rules on visible items, so ask your HOA about time limits and placement before the party. Cancel or reschedule free until 7 PM the business day before delivery. After that, a trip fee may apply. Same-day orders cancel free until the truck is dispatched.

Rain in the forecast? Move the date early, while it is still free. We set units on private property, not in the street. A unit in a public street may need city approval.
