How many toilets does a Frisco home builder need?
Frisco's residential inspection checklist requires 1 sanitation facility per 5 building sites, with no more than 200 feet of walking distance between facilities. The checklist also says portable toilets must be on site when construction starts and must be serviced. A 10-lot phase therefore needs at least 2 units.
Frisco inspectors check this on residential permits. Read the exact wording in the Frisco Residential Inspection Checklist. The 200-foot spacing often matters more than the lot count on long streets.
| Building sites | Minimum units (1 per 5) | Spacing check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 5 | 1 | Within 200 ft walk |
| 6 to 10 | 2 | Within 200 ft walk |
| 11 to 15 | 3 | Within 200 ft walk |
| 16 to 20 | 4 | Within 200 ft walk |
OSHA Table D-1 still applies to crew size, so a big framing crew may need more. See our jobsite toilet guide for weekly service details.

Frisco is about 20 to 25 miles from our yard at 6000 Split Trail Rd in east Plano. Trucks take US-75 north to the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH-121) west, or the Bush Turnpike (SH-190) west to the Dallas North Tollway. Plan on 30 to 40 minutes, longer at rush hour.
Frisco is spread out. A lot near US-380 in the north is a different run from a home near Stonebriar in the south. Give us the exact address and we will tell you which day works.
- The driver calls 30 to 60 minutes before arrival.
- You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and the gate is open.
- On active build streets, tell us where the dumpster and material drops are so the truck can reach the unit for service.
Can you supply toilets for a youth sports tournament?
Yes. For a weekend tournament, we drop units Friday and pick up Monday at no extra cost. Use 1 standard unit per 50 people for up to 4 hours, then add 1 per 100 people when the day runs longer. Add at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit per cluster for a public event, per ADA 213.2.

Tournament days run long and crowds turn over every game. That makes the longer-than-4-hours step matter. A field with 300 people over 8 hours needs 6 base units plus 3 more, so 9 units. Make at least 1 of those a wheelchair-accessible unit, and add 3 hand wash sinks (1 per 4 toilets, rounded up).
Leagues on a season schedule can keep units on a 28-day cycle with weekly service. See our season-long rental guide. Ask your league or field owner where trucks may drive before you book.
When does a Frisco event need a special event permit?
Frisco requires a special event permit for 100 or more attendees, and for items like food vendors, park locations, street closures, rides, fireworks or tents over 400 square feet. Apply at least 30 days ahead. The city warns that late applications may be denied automatically under the ordinance.
The Frisco Special Events Permitting Committee handles applications. Call 972-292-6651 or read Frisco special event permitting. The city page does not list a restroom count, so confirm with the committee before you finalize the order.
Book restrooms after the permit date is set. If the date moves, cancel or reschedule free until 7 PM the business day before delivery. This is not legal advice.
Do Frisco park pavilions have restrooms?
Some do and some do not. Frisco lists restrooms at Pavilion 2 and Pavilion 3 but not at the Frisco Commons Pavilion 1 East or West, Shawnee Trail or Warren pavilions. Capacities run from 30 to 150 people. Parties over 100 people, or with vendors, need extra permits.
Check your pavilion on the Frisco park pavilion reservations page or call Parks and Recreation at 972-292-6500. Ask whether a vendor may bring a unit in, and where the truck can park.
| Pavilion | Max people | Restrooms listed |
|---|---|---|
| Frisco Commons 1 East or West | 50 each | No |
| Frisco Commons East and West combo | 100 | No |
| Pavilion 2 | 30 | Yes |
| Pavilion 3 | 50 | Yes |
| Shawnee Trail | 150 | No |
| Warren | 80 | No |
For a 150-person party at Shawnee Trail, our method calls for 3 standard units for up to 4 hours.
Will a unit fit in a new-build backyard?
Often not through the gate. Many newer Frisco homes have narrow side yards and gates under 48 inches. A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide, so the gate needs 48 inches of clear width. When it is narrower, we set the unit beside the driveway or garage instead.

After rain we set units on the driveway or gravel, not the lawn. Our driver rolls the unit up to about 15 feet on a dolly, and needs firm, level ground to do it.
- Measure the gate before you call.
- Ask your HOA about time limits for a unit in view of the street.
- For a nicer guest option, the deluxe unit with a sink is 47 inches wide, so plan for the driveway.
How do builders get billed on a long rental?
Long Frisco rentals bill on a 28-day cycle, not a calendar month. The first cycle includes delivery, and later cycles cost less. Weekly service is included. Pickup is not automatic, so call or text when the phase closes out. Billing stops the day you ask for pickup.
Builders can apply for a business account. Every quote is itemized and out-the-door, with no fuel surcharge added later. In our 2026 review of 185 recorded calls, long-term renters were most confused by 28-day billing and manual pickup, so we spell both out on the quote.
See our 28-day billing guide and our cost guide for more.
